We are nearly there. The crowdfunding campaign has less than a week to go. Thank you so much to everyone for your amazing support.
If you wish to pre-order a copy after that date you will be able to order your copy on the website soon.
After many phone calls and text messages late into the night, Meaghan finished the illustrations and layout and Sophie Makes New Friends has gone to the printer! When looking for a printer, I discovered that Griffin Press printed most of the chapter books on my bookshelf. They also do short print runs and I’m so excited they are printing Sophie.
There is a delay between printing and when the books are available because Peter and I are heading overseas in a few weeks for our much-anticipated European holiday. We have talked about this holiday for years and are finally heading off.
This meant the books needed to be printed and in my hands before we left. As the books will arrive a day or two before we leave the country, all pre-ordered books will be delivered/posted when we arrive home.
The launch is booked for Saturday October 27 at Harry Hartog in Canberra. That’s two weeks after we arrive home. No pressure!
I can’t wait to share Sophie Makes New Friends with you in late October.
