Inspiration
What a year 2018 was. There was so much to celebrate! Meaghan and I produced Sophie Makes New Friends and she was launched into the world in October.
Peter and I finally went on our Big Overseas Adventure and had a wonderful time exploring some of the UK and Europe. And we both celebrated a significant birthday!
So what does the New Year hold? Some big decisions were made at the end of 2018 and on the 1st January I finished up at my paid job and will spend more time on my writing life.
There were a number of factors in this decision but today is day one of this new adventure I have chosen. I leapt out of bed, well, was coerced by Peter who was told, ‘don’t let me stay in bed too long’ and went for a walk. I will need to be more mindful of exercising now as in my paid job I spent the day on my feet with lots of walking. I now need to balance sitting at a desk with getting out and moving. I also need to be rather mindful of how many packets of M&Ms I eat!
I have been working on a plan for this new adventure alongside some of my lovely Indie writing friends. We want to put our books into the hands of young readers and have fun doing workshops and author talks. I can’t wait to see how the year unfolds.
